Hello Guys
I just bought i30 2013 Diesel car
It had already an aftermarket stereo JVC KD-X214 , I took it out and found that the wire for the stereo control is not attched
I have been trying to find a solution , there are already so many threads and discussions but the answer I am looking for is , can I connect the stereo remote wire to the car without any adapter or interface and if yes where do i need to connect it
Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

It's likely missing one of the interconnecting patch leads, try putting your car and head unit details into the Aerpro website :link: Home | Aerpro and hopefully you'll get back a result of what could be missing.

If no luck with that I'd recommend speaking with a reputable car audio shop.

thanks for the advice so i ordered a steering wheel interface and a universal patch lead from this link :link: Hyundai i10, i20, i30, Santa Fe Steering Stalk Control Adaptor ...
on the ad it said i30 hyundai 2009 onwards , however on the installation guide it said i30 2007-2011, but i still tried to wire it up to my JVC KD-X241 , had to change some of the wires position , rest just followed the colors
problem is its still not working , the steering control , the stereo works perfectly but not the steering wheel
i tried disconnecting them all and reconnected in the proper sequence staring from the stereo then the interface then the car but still no luck , i dont think there is any settings on the JVC as such either
I am not sure if even by replacing the interface it will work as its going to be the same wires not much different
anyone who can help please with some nice suggestions
thanks

Being it's for an FD model is my guess why it doesn't work, different wiring and clock spring :undecided: the compatibility notes in your link say it's an FD lead and the notes on the same page say not suitable with your JVC and several other units ( Please note: This patch lead CANNOT be used for Blaupunkt / Parrot / Becker / JVC KW-AVX head units / Older Kenwood units with the DIN plug. For those models you need to purchase the lead from the add-on options )

Everything for a GD is mentioned within the link I provided previously :link: Hyundai i30 2012-2016 GD, GD2 | Aerpro
