I'd like to have a power outlet in the storage box behind the handbrake.
Could keep the satnav etc. charged without it being on display.

I could use the power outlet in the boot (the CW has one) but it's always live unlike the one up front.
The boot one's good for charging the mobile though.

I Suppose I could put together an extension lead but I've got 2 rattles in the cabin to get sorted first.

It would be a better place, and ironically that's where it is in on the cars made in Ulsan.

It should be easy to add an extra cable in to there, especially when you ivestigate the bottom of the storage compartment, you'll see.

Car is with dealer tomorrow to fix a pretty quiet but annoying buzz sound (rattle) coming from behind the instrument pod.

It's set off by rougher road surfaces and after winter frost we've got just the right surfaces around here...  I'll look at fitting an extension cable once the wasp has been evicted from the dash though.

Ask them what the problem is, I have a rattle in the same place. Almost sounds like a bit of plastic buzzing around, but only on rougher roads as well

pull the center console out... and fit another one in the center armrest...

actually if you look by the ciggarette lighter/aux power loom there is a connector that only comes on when the ignition switch is on "ON" its just 2 wires going to a female connector... you could use some male spade bits and make a small harness up to a new ciggarette lighter through the hole in the bottom of the center console....
