I use these in my i30.
With a bit of searching you'll find posts that I recall discuss how some profiles need the dust cap to be redesigned to be longer.
I posted my own dust cap mod here in reply 219 i30 PD active LED headlights I'm also using the JW direct fit bulbs BendonL pictured Very simple and cheap to do, the rubber boot sits very snug in the cap giving a nice seal.

I'm astonished at the brightness. Looks like I don't need to go too high on the lumens after all.
I still have the factory dust caps on my car just had to remove the anti fog pouch off the back off the dust cover to fit.

Looks like I don't need to go too high on the lumens after all.Yes you don't want the low beam lights to bright, overly bright will become annoying with light being reflected back from road signs quite strongly, also water on the road can become quite reflective with whiter light so a good reason not to go super bright.
