Full story, short version.

Im driving down the highway, i blink left for lanechange, left side bulb blows (the one for normal driving light and high beam).
I buy a new bulb, change it and it works (not my first rodeo).
I then turn on high beam, but only the right side goes to high, while the left side beam stay on low.

Any takes on this?
I an hoping that theres seperate fuse for high/low and left/right, in which case it would be a simple and cheap fix,
but this is just wishful thinking on my part. The fact that right side go high and left side stay low seem to speak against this. atlest at face value.

Extra contekst: a week ago i had a good bump into another car. maybe such bumb could have effect on junktionbox or other connection points?

The bulb i bought is: H7 12V-55W ULTRA LIFE OSRAM, which is the same i had before unless there is different versions, i looked and found no such indication.

My car is: I30 FD 2011, 1,6 CRDI 90HP, Sense+, Czech made

There are both high and low fuses for these lights on the FD. Also, the bump could have dislodged the earth connection against the car body, which is a common problem with the FD causing bulbs to blow.

well it was always blowing bulbs, but a couple bulbs a year (across the whole car) was not really a problem for me. cheap and easy to fix.
But you seem to have some good info there, so let me ask...

1.: Where is this point of connection for the ground?, do you know? i am an electrician so i can fix it if i can access it.

2. in regards to the  ''right side correctly goes to high beam, while the left side stays on low beam'' symptom that i get:
Do you think hyundai wired it so that it employ both high- and lowbeam fuse for the high beam?
Because if it uses only one set of fuses at a time, then i imagine i should loose the lights left side when turning on the high beam.

the high beam is a separate bulb. i was so sure it wasnt.

Anyway its clearly a loose ground.

Not dumb - mistaken.

H4 would be a high low combination globe, H7 is single as you've discovered.

I sell/install a lot of globes and recommend Phillips long life or similar for diesels, rather than 'plus' bulbs which don't live as long as regular or LL.

They tend to blow lights a lot quicker than their petrol variants (voltage spike on start up is higher potentially killing prematurely?).

Your bump on the front certainly hasn't aided life.

Dipped and main beam are both H7 single-filament type. On UK models, dipped headlights stay on when main beam on. I think the FD has a fuse for left hand headlight, another for the right headlight, and another fuse which supplies the headlight relay which I assume protects both main beams.
