Its been about 14000k (2 months :P) since i picked up the i30 from the dealership and very happy, looks brilliant too although keeping it clean without mudflaps is an uphill battle

wheels are speedy gtr sports 16x7s, the different tyres resulted in quite a bit more road noise, but thats what the stereo is for :P
yep just finished cleaning it, but not a spot the difference. Dirt driveway so when its raining get a BIG spray of mud up the sides :(

From the hosepipe in your pic I take it there is no ban on them where you live.

Black is a terrible colour to keep clean
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

Great lookin ride there.

I've got the same colour.  Same colour as my wifes Territory too - you think I'd learn, but once you've had black - you never go back......

I was looking at similar wheels on mine.....but didn't get them in the end.

They look good on the car tho'.

Very nice, I used to have a black car, just a pain to keep clean but when you do spend the time on it, it's fantastic!

Wow  I only picked up my car from the dealer on the 18th last month and have only just hit 1500 ks, even after all the driving to and from work and driving on the weekend as well.

Nice looking black car :) Interesting rims too. I like black cars, but cleaning them....not so much

Hah 7,000 km/month - if you kept on driving like that, you would do 84,000 km in a year? That is A LOT :) And I thought I was driving too much with 4-5,000 km/monthly. Now I drive much less (2-3k km) and it's so weird.

putting on mudflaps without removing the wheels is an uphill battle, by the screwdriving drill bit and adjustable spanner eventually won the day :P should help it stay just this shiny a bit longer

When the dealer put my mud flaps on they did not remove the wheels.

Front - they just turned the wheel left or right for access.
Rear - room with a stubby screwdriver.

well, its been awhile (now at 58,xxx km :P) but now the beasty has the hyundai slim window shade things, an amp and a soundstream 12" sub in the boot. I do plan to eventually replace the rest of the factory audio setup but doing it right will take money i dont have yet :)
