Hello and apologies if I step on any toes inadvertently.

I own a 2015 1.3lt Diesel i30 Navigation Edition (marketed as "iView edition" in Greece), non-clima. The factory head unit does not support CarPlay and the official Hyundai service can't replace the HU with a CarPlay compatible one. I looked around a bit and asked in some specialty techs and several have replied that there are no replacements, original or aftermarket, that support CarPlay for 2015 navigation models. After trying to find whatever I could online, I came back empty-handed.

Has anyone had experience with this particular problem? I read up relevant previous posts about upgrading eg. a GD-02 to GD-03 unit, but nothing on the particular issue I'm having. It makes logical sense that such an upgrade should be possible (why not, after all?), but no one seems to have a proper answer and I am just not getting the reason why this is such a major issue.

It's a great read, thanks I forwarded the link along with the part numbers needed to my technician, hopefully he'll sort it out. I'll report back with the results, if any
