Hi,
I have read two other topics about this upgrade, but I still have problems.

Links:
:link: i30 PD 2017 - infotainment: 5 inch to 8 inch
:link: How to change headunit in i30 PD 5" to 8" OEM

At the moment I have changed pins:
vehicle speed: B 18 -> A38
IGN: B 32 -> B 33 (i saw few graps and on one of them it was 33 and on the second it was 32 (so nothing to change))

At the moment I have a problem, that the radio does not detect, that the engine is running and displays a warning about the battery discharging.

I find information, that if i will get voltage above 0.1V on some PIN, it will detect car as running and will resolve my problem.
Is it true and is it possible, for example, to transfer 5V from USB?

The second issue is, do the wires, which were used in the old radio, and are not in the new one, have to be cut off?

And also, should I connect the wires, which I swapped places like vehicle speed and IGN? I am talking about the wires, which I left after reconnecting vehicle speed and IGN.

Please help.

Hyundai i30 PD 2018 with radio without NAV from 2022 8" (wireless carPlay etc. without any changes).

I can't edit post but this is how it's work.

Before I had small screen without touchscreen and rear camera etc.

I just replace radio with 8" touchscreen with android auto etc. from hyundai i30 2022 (lift version). I don't change anything in software, because this version had by default wireless carplay and android auto.

For now I dont change any wire between pins and how it's work, or better what doesn't work:

-detect engine running - in random moments (every few minutes) I have notification at the top withinformation to be careful to dont discharge the battery. Its just small notification pn the top and sometimes also sound (quick, not so loud single pop sound - i just drive with it).

-radio dont switch off after turn off the engine and open the door. I can turn off the engine, leave the car, close it and radio is still working, but after 30-60 seconds or just after go away it will turn off. Mayby its connected to "follow home" function with headlights.

So for now I dont change vehicle speed pins or anything, because it's doenst change anything.

I also dont connect any GPS antenna to the radio ( I have version without navigation, beucase its usseles when you have carplay). and everythinf is working, time and date is synchronized with the phone.

Can someone help me with fixing this two small issues?

Hi, Im not sure what radio do I have. I have small radio with 6 number buttons on the bottom (no camera version).
Did you know with wire I need to cut or replace to hide information about discharge battery (new radio had problem with detection when car is running).
