Hi All,

Looking for some advise and any recommended garage for repair in Leicester UK.

For past few days the clutch pedal had low bite point but when showed to local mechanic was given advise that clutch is all good.
However today all of sudden the Clutch pedal had dropped to the floor and doesn’t pull back to original position, also it prevents engaging any gears. No sound or noise, just can’t engage any gear hence cant drive.
Any advise or help very appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Dhairya

Can't help you with Leicester repairers but the clutch problem may be related to the damper.
Many have removed the clutch damper and inserted a threaded plug in its place to improve bite point.

Dropped to the floor with no resistance sounds like one of two things: mechanical disconnection or loss of fluid.

I had a similar problem with my 2015 diesel, and it was due to the flexible hydraulic hose connection to the clutch slave cylinder coming loose. The retaining clip had broken. There was a puddle of hydraulic fluid on the plastic tray under the engine, and the fluid level in the reservoir was low. I replaced the clip and o-ring, refilled the reservoir, bled the air out and it's been fine ever since. The slave cylinder is a concentric one, buried away inside the clutch bell-housing, with a plastic spigot poking out that the hose clips onto.
