I bought my car in December 2023 with 38000 kms on the clock. Within 3 weeks, a hose blew, which caused loss of coolant and a catastrophic overheating to occur on 1 cylinder. This warped the head and lead to the cylinder having to be machined. Ever since I got the car back, I have had fairly constant issues where when the car is at operating temperature, the check engine light comes on, and the car misfires really badly. I have had the issue diagnosed (finally after 12 months) as an ECU issue. Can anyone advise what a replacement ECU with labour and programming will cost?
