I got stuck in a queue at roadworks temporary traffic lights this morning, after which my GPF (Gasolene Particulate Filter) lamp lit on the instrument cluster. Never seen that before, so had to look it up in the manual. I guess I have not been doing a lot of long trips since COVID.
I went for a drive up the Motorway for about 30mins this afternoot but was not traffic free and lamp remained lit. Visited my Hyundai dealer who suggested a longer steady speed cruising trip may clear it, else book in for a forced Re-Gen.
Anyone else experienced this issue on a Petrol/Gasolene i30?

Obviously none of you have seen this lamp lit on your Petrol i30's. Maybe like me, didn't even know it existed until it showed up in the far right corner of the instrument cluster yesterday, glowing amber and looking more like a turbo (I was scared ££££) than a exhaust filter. Even my dealer was surprised when I said it was on an i30. I had seen many angry complaints of this GPF issue elsewhere on the www by Hyundai Tuscon owners.

Update:
I drove a few dual-carriageway and Motorway miles this morning for 30mins or so, in 3rd and 4th to get revs up to 4k then lift to fall to 2.5k so the overrun takes effect. The warning light then extinguished, so that regime seems to have fixed sooty.
Also my Start/Stop came alive again, first time since winter, but maybe that is a coincidence.
