Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light or share a similar experience. Here’s a breakdown of the issues I’ve been dealing with:

What I’ve Done So Far:

  • Replaced the oil pressure sensor
  • Replaced the oil filter
  • Refilled with fresh 5W-30 (correct spec)
  • Oil level is correct and up to the fill mark

The problem

  • The yellow oil pressure light comes on after ~30 miles of driving
  • No noticeable engine noise or performance issues when the light comes on
  • Oil level remains fine
  • This only happens after the engine is hot, which made me suspect a real drop in oil pressure (possibly due to oil thinning)

What i have found out while trying to diagnose

  • After driving and letting the car idle, I noticed the radiator fan never turns on
  • Even when the A/C is switched on, the fan does not activate
  • I found a loose 3-pin female connector near the fan area and another taped-up wire near the battery and headlight area
  • I traced the fan wiring and suspect that the fan motor or control module is not connected properly
  • It's possible the fan has been disconnected or cut in a previous repair attempt

My Current Theory

  • The radiator fan not activating causes the engine oil to get hotter than it should
  • Hotter oil = lower viscosity = lower oil pressure
  • This might be what’s triggering the yellow oil light after extended driving, even though oil level and sensor are fine

I am a novice when it comes to cars, as this is my first car and want to look after it. Looking for help if anyone has had any similar problems.
