I have a i30 SR 2017 model and manual transmission. Recently, the reverse camera will activate itself on the infotainment screen while the car is moving in a forward manner, like driving on a road at least 40 to 60km/h. It happens during heavy rain. The car is still moving as per normal and is not in reverse at all.
The only way to remove the rear view of the camera is to stop the car, move the manual gear towards reverse mode (not necessarily fully into reverse) but enough to trigger the camera and then move the gear shift back to 1st and the camera view will disappear and then it might appear again in either a few seconds or few minutes (if the rain persist).
When the rain stops or just drizzle, then the problem goes away.
Any one has encountered this and how to resolve this?
I am thinking of taking it to Hyundai service center but was concern that when I bring the car there, the problem is not there and they cannot find the root cause.
Thanks
