Hey all, got the call today, our baby has finally came in and work let me knock off early to go pick her up, couldn't be happier, the black is awesome (sorry to others I may be a little bias but black is just best  :P), here are the first pics as from when we got home (it must be god smiling as it was raining most of the day and stopped while we drove home :D).
She is booked in on Saturday to get the tinting done so I will take some more pics to show it when it's done.

Cheers all and enjoy her beauty, the better half is in love more than ever now.

Hey all, thanks for all the comments, I just came accross this by accident surfing the forum, I was wondering why they were missing from where I posted them originally and I just reposted them thinking in my infinite IT expertise I'd managed to stuff up the posting and have re posted them (i'll get rid of the double ups now)

Thanks again for the great comments, she is definitely a winner and keeping the misses happy is a plus, keeping her happy without having to sacrifice my own happiness is another plus  :D haha

Cheers All
P.S. Bumpkin...once you go Black you never go back

i was getting a black one up until the time i was to tell the salesman my color, told the wife you choose first I'm out for a smoke. it had rained on the black one in the yard and once id seen how dirty it had become in 10 minutes i changed my mind.  :'(

Yeah the black does show up the dirt easy, but on the flip side it will make me wash it more often  :) and I got the advanced protection pack added in from the dealer so it should be easier to clean and keep clean :)

Yeah I have had black and white in the past and they are both really hard to keep nice.

IMO Silver is the easiest to keep hence two silver and one graphite silver Imprezas, although vivid blue is not as bad as I thought it might be

Yes I like silver for that reason (had a few silver cars over the years) My light blue metallic is nearly as good as silver in that regard

Great looking car! Nice wheels (alloys), are they also "tinted"? I haven't seen those in that color.

EDIT: Just seen few more i30's with alloys like yours.. They sure do look interesting

Regarding the color: I also like darker colors, but I bought silver mostly because it's really easy to keep clean

I hadn't seen the wheels in that colour either that's just how they were when we picked it up, I like them though, I think they looked better than the standard colour alloys on the others in the yard so I was happy

As I said with someone else who has just got a black one with "trophy" wheels it really looks gr8 with the black ... like it was made to blend rather than contrast with the body colour  (a really nice look.. and I'm not a fan of black cars)

As promised people, here are the pics of the tint. It was done on Saturday at Altapac Newcastle, and is their metallic HP10 tint, premium 10% tint, so slightly darker than legal tint but she'll be right, I've never had a problem with tint and cops before  :P....touch wood lol

I was going to go for the black, but then changed my mind to RED.  But the black is pretty classy looking... great looking wheels and the tinted windows looks so... darth vader. She's a great looking ride.

Thanks loosewheel, we did consider other colours, white, red and blue mainly but the red never really looked that good in pictures we saw and and then we started seeing a couple in the flesh and they looked a lot better, and I have since seen a lot better pics of the red, still super happy with the black though lol love it.
