Has anyone ever had issues with turning signal switch?

I took my car to garage for 20000 km service last week and they asked if there had been any problems. Well, there weren't any really - but I did mention, that sometimes after turning to the right with the signal on, the returning of the switch causes the left signal to blink once.

The guy at garage said "It shouldn't be doing that. You will get it replaced under warranty. I will call you once the new switch arrives."

...and the thing wasn't even bugging me. A *really* minor thing, but hey - here I am waiting for the call and getting the switch replaced.

My impression about the service was that they just did not want to leave a car behind with any flaws, even the smallest one - which is kinda OK...

Hemmi [iirc] had this same problem. A small pice of foam sorted it out, I think.

Mine does that too. Thought it was a feature for polite British drivers to say 'thanks for letting me out' when changing lanes :)

There is a rework for this. The switch shouldn't of been replaced....

The turning signal switch was replaced on friday, seems to work OK now.

The switch arrived already few weeks ago, but because of me being busy all the time nowadays, I wasn't able to take my car to garage until now.

My car was at the garage for 45 minutes, which I consider pretty good performance for the service.

OK, the new switch started to do the thing as well... Looks like Hyundai cannot make decent turning signal switch mechanics.

What was the trick with piece of foam? Hemmi?
