Hello - sorry for re starting this thread, just writing to say that I de badged my i30 on the weekend and also put chrome stickies on the tail lights.  I tell you what, I purposely just go outside and check out my car.  I love it.  It doesn't look too over the top with the chrome (door handles & tail lights)  I also want to get the chrome indicator outline bits.

So happy I took the badges off 

EDIT: I will get photos on here one day but my laptop gave me the black screen of death the other day so I'm just relying on my work computer atm.

Did you have any issues/trouble debadging?   I was thinking of debadging the rear "Hyundai", mainly because it's a PITA to wax around.

Nope - no huge issues.  I just used dental floss and WD-40... I didn't even use a hair dryer (since I live in Sunny North QLD and the surface was hot enough)

In saying that, I would suggest that you use a hair dryer because then you won't have so much heartache making sure all of the glue is off the car.  Other than that, it is pretty straight forward.. Just make sure that it is really what you want because once it is done... IT IS DONE .... It is definitely a way to make your car more unique.  I think I could safely say my i30 is the only one in Townsville that it is the way it is :-)

Photos will be up as soon as I buy a new laptop.. whenever that may be

Wouldn't touch the badges, remember folks you are a rolling advert for the car, take off the badges and folks go and buy Toyotas and stuff

but then again, are they paying you to advertise their car/brand?   no,  same reason i remove all dealer stickers and rego plate frames from my cars.

I'm not into debadging but always peel off the dealer sticker and usually replace the dealer number plate frames as well..
