Introducing Elle B as a new member

Having gleaned much information as ideas from this forum, I thought it high time to come on-board and hopefully make some contribution.

We have had the i30CW (auto)

for some 6 mths having picked it up with 16k Km on the clock.
We have been a Subaru family for many years, but wanted a change to the turbo diesel after driving them on a European holiday some time back. It is the wife's car as an every day driver, so I had to cut her some slack.

I have a manual vehicle to drive, thought it is not quite so quick off the mark, it still turns heads.

I have had the Dodge since 1983, but not always in this condition.

I am researching a number of "things" for the i30 CRDI and will have some questions on a new post, I hope that I can find the answers. Once the research is done I will be happy to post the results as I hope that others will benefit.

Just one thing.. if you get a chance could you host your photos on Photbucket or similar as explained in the welcome thread and then post the image links (to save our bandwidth and the risk of losing them) Cheers Dazz

Wow thee manual seems to be so frugal compared to the auto... but that is to be expected.

Last week I also did a trip over the Blue Mtns..and back, via bells Line of Road.
I got 5.8l/100 km in Elle B for 586 Km.

She is now due for a 30k service, so I think that fresh oil will give an improvement..

Will keep y'all posted.
