I was window shopping at the Launceston (Tasmania) Hyundai Dealer today and saw a very nice Auto SLX CW Crdi (excuse the quality of photos done with my Mobile) Amazed at the high price though  :o

A$29,990 for 2010 (no bluetooth and silver light reflectors instead of the new black) supposedly over A$3000 off ...

Makes a Trophy edition petrol at around A$22,000 look like a real bargain  :goodjob:

also found out that the trophy has 2 more colours now (originally just Shine Red and Vivid blue) but now also white which would look very much like the SLX above and Hyper Silver as per this one I came across on the way home

Great post Daz and realistically I can only guess it's one of those 'clever' fishhook draw me in deals ! to the knowledgeable few that have done their homework and say WTF is this ? and the ever-so-humble-sales-person ... says 'WELL WHAT DO YOU THINK sir/ms "THE PRICE SHOULD BE ??" I've almost got you now   :scared:.

I would be just like the salesperson's dream .... but it's pre July 2010 ? and no BT ? (I don't want to talk to anyone really while I'm driving) and it does have all the nice things really ....

SOLD to that gullible but knowledgeable person ! from WA  .

MY11 i30cw Wagon models with Bluetooth.

http://www.hyundai.com.au/Offers/i30cw/i30cw-TAS-offer/default.aspx

Interesting (thanks Russ) even adding $2500 to that SLX price for the Diesel only gets it to $31,000 (not $33,000!!)

And I am pretty sure I have seen the Trophy advertised at $22,000 drive away as stated by the Salesman in Launceston so that IS a good buy with all the extras over the SX model..

Yep, but the link says "from $28,490 for the SLX AUTO 2.0 wagon" adding 2,500 for the diesel gives $30,990

Unfortunately I would be lucky to get A$10,000 for the wifes 3 y/o Tiida with only 25k on it  :'( - So wouldn't want to go more than $22,000 for a 2nd car...(still 12k or more changeover)

Too small (we had a getz before) and the wife doesnt want a hatch .. either another small sedan or wagon..Will either be a CW Trophy, Lancer SX or maybe a Kia Cerato Sedan.. (obviously I would push the CW but she doesn't really like the limited colour choices)

I noticed yesterday in the motoring section of the West Australian here that Hyundai had a 2 page ad on the various models 'drive away' deals, It's advertising the 'Trophy' manual at $21,990.00 or $23,990.00 auto (I thought they were all sold ?) which is great value for money, But I can't find a cw Trophy available only the hatch.

When we went to buy our i30 about 5 months ago, the first price the dealer quoted was a recommended retail price which was close to that figure.
When I mentioned the price quoted on the web, he dropped it to match.

Looks like the RRP is the sucker price with the web price available if you ask about it.

Yeah they are apparently selling well... The salesman said they had three red Trophys coming and two were pre-sold (I had no reason not to believe him as I told him we were unlikely to consider solid red colour due to possible fading (past bad experience)

I wonder if they will bring more in? I think it is hard to justify the A$2000 premium over the hatch for the regular CW.

I like the look of the Wagon (prefer the back to the hatch styling personally)

Hy Dazz.
The CW on your pics looks like mine. Already I have the 2 litre engine and also no bluetooth.
the car´s got full tinted back windows and the silver lights. It looks like the model of 2008/2009 because my one is first known in 2009/04. It must be the model of 2009 I think. The newer models since the soccer worldgames have the small engine and black lights in europe.

In Germany, a car also older than the year of sell is sellable as new car if its first used at the year of buying it.
:scared: if I buy a new i30 build 2008 in 2010 and I´m first owner, the car will have it´s first recorded entry for the tax in 2010. it means it´s the model new in 2010.
You know how I mean it? :sweating:

Greetings from Germany

:goodjob: I know what you mean... Not like that over here.. In your example it would still be a 2008 model even if not registered or 1st used until 2010. My wife's Nissan Tiida was first registered in 2008 but was built 12/06 and is consided to be an o6/07 model on the Registration papers.. We did get a very good price and A$1000 free fuel for that reason.
