"Councillor Max Hunt, who represents the North West Loughborough Division, said that stretch of Alan Moss Road often presented problems for drivers."

He said: "I would not say it is a dangerous road particularly but it does have a cycle lane on it which drivers sometimes park on and that can surprise motorists, especially if they are not familiar with the road as this gentleman from Australia may not have been."
