Just done a parallel park with my i30 and barely touched the car behind with the rear bumper but it must have flexed enough to break a plastic lug off the light holder and I now have to resort to the "blue-tac" method to hold it in.
Can anyone tell me how much a new light will cost and is the main dealer the only source? Does the bulb holder simply pull out of the lamp surround or do you have to twist it?

Thanks

Mike

I would expect it to be a dealer part.

When you visit the dealer ask how to replace it and if it's anything like my dealer they may do the replacement FOC.

Would super glue or epoxy repair it?

Gluing it would stop you replacing a bulb when required.

I just had a look at my car - there are two lights each held in place by a sprigy plastic lug that clips behind the bumper skin. I guess it is one of these lugs that is referred to.

This area of the car is not normally visible - I would simply drill the bumper next to the light for a self tapping screw with a large washer over-lapping the light unit to hold it firmly in place.

:goodjob: Good option if the dealer doesn't offer to fix it FOC...
