Hi all, my alloys have started to corrode quite bad on the inside rim.
I have contacted my local Hyundai garage and they have sent pictures to the warranty people.
Here is a picture for all to look at

Do you use corrosive cleaner?

I'm sure they asked you that already.....

No only turtlewax car soap that i wash the car with.

What trim and how old? 

Its a 1.4 comfort, 16 in alloys, one year old, 6000 miles.
I cant understand how it has happened because i have looked after it.

How many people see the inside of your alloys

If it concerns you cant you just use a non abrasive scourer pad and some wheel cleaner?

Hyundai offers a warranty against inside to outside perforation by corrosion.

Yes they do salt our roads quite frequently in winter over here but i wash any salt off them weekly.
Trouble is i know that the corrosion is there and it annoys me 
After spending my hard earned cash on a new car i did not expect corrosion after one year.
My other car is an 03 plate Ford focus tdci 1.8 and i have had it from nearly new and the alloys on it are immaculate inside so it seems that the hyundai alloys are not finished to the same standard as the Ford ones 
Hope to get a positive response from Hyundai warranty soon.

Moxey...Once you have cleaned it off couldn't you just give them a spray of WD40 or RP7 each time you wash the car...That shouldn't cost you more than afew pennies

I was just about to post then same, car 6 months old done 7000 miles, alloys been hard to clean, spent loads of time cleaning wheels with car shampoo only at the weekend, and under the dirt, there is corrosion on all 4 wheels, the side that faces outside, the problem can wait, but as my local dealer loathes to do warranty work, it will be interesting to see what happens.
The car is 2011 model year 1.6 CRDI comfort again with 16 inch alloys.

  Maybe.. but your alloys will look nice on the inside

I've used WD40 on my alloys...but that was to remove tar....

Just had a call from my local Hyundai dealer today and he has my 4 new wheels waiting for me to be fitted.
Now thats what i call a result. 
Just hope the new ones are ok in a years time

True, alternatively for the canny spender who can't justify £8.99 for a wheel brush the Kent Car Care one from Asda or car parts stores for £2.99 does the job just as well
