Another little video (almost in real time .. it takes about 8 or 9 minutes for me to drive the 7 kilometres from home to work)

Devonport is far from the prettiest place in Tassie but it is quite central with a mild climate (for the latitude)

For those who are technically minded it was recorded in 720 HD and then edited using Corel VideoStudio Pro V4 and saved as a 720HD WMV file then reduced to a quarter of the size (still in 720 HD) with DivX plus Converter.

I am trying to learn the latest version Videostudio and so you may score a few more vids and slideshows yet (if that is ok)

nice video dazz.  the camera works well,have you got a link to it? a lot of your travel looks like the area rusty lives in.

  my son has a jvc camera that looks very similar. I'm looking at buying one myself instead of borrowing his.

Be aware steve these cheapies have no optical zoom (only digital zoom which is not worth a pinch)

Just after we bought this Kmart had a 1080p camera similar to this for under $120 would be even sharper 

If you are going to use it for anything other than a bit of in car stuff you really need some optical zoom (at least 5x) around $230 here:

We just sold a Sony Video 8 Digital camera with a heap of accessories for $100 because we weren't using it and it wasn't HD and it was a bit bulky.

what ever i buy dazz will be better than using my mobile phone that i use at the moment,and as i mentioned i also use the young blokes camera. [when he will let me]

I "travelled" down parts of your route on GSV just before Xmas   I must admit I prefer your city's single-storeyed housing to the banal space-saving buildings that infest the conurbation that is Manchester (and probably most of England)

I can just imagine after a hard day travelling down that streech and you would seem to just naturally unwind.

What time of day was it as the traffic seem light?

Very good and really intersting, as Shambles suggests it's very Anglified in places and even better, you drive on the correct side of the road 

So, waddia do, just rest the camera on the dash board?????

Am I wrong or the video is in reverse vision?! You (and all) are driving on the wrong side of the road! 
On the main road, you followed a car with a big spoiler. Here, in Portugal and on a joking language,  we call that "clothesline"!

It was about 11am on a Saturday (a lot busier during the week.. probably twice as many cars but no traffic jams) It was a bit of a strange day traffic wise as a couple of other areas I filmed were quite busy?

ASA... I just put a bit of the spiky velcro on the bottom of the camera and it sticks to the dashmat (No dashmat? just use both bits of sticky velcro...

Well, it was joined up to my part of Oz some years back but we had a gutful so cast them adrift........

Thanks, being near midday had a few issues with sun on the lens (might try attaching camera to passenger side headrest with big rubberbands or filming in morning or evening)
