thank you.
I find it nice: driving is more smooth, especially when passing obstacles (dents, tram rails etc); it seems to provide more space for driver; dashboard seems huge; side pockets in trunk (first aid, fire extinguisher and warning triangle are secured safely in one of them)

me neither.

Looks great.

3 sides look just like the new i30.  Only the grill, 4th side, gives it away.

Oh and the Cee'd badge on the back

ps noticed someone was tryimg to take a sneak picture behind you  :snigger:

Looks great Misha

The Kia dash styling looks a bit more old fashioned and I am not so keen on the red either .. but everything else is excellent (I guess it is basically a GD i30 with a slightly different body...)

I am a bit jealous, I love new cars..  :happydance:

That's a very busy steering wheel you've go there. Make sure to keep your eyes on the road, when driving, ESPECIALLY IN RUSSIA.

My car is in a shop now where it is being equipped with anti-theft devices, meanwhile I bought a kit of 4 rubber mats in the morning , next thing in a list is cargo net.

Does it not come with immobiliser etc?

Is theft of cars a problem where you are?

it does, but a single immobilizer is not enough, not in Russia.
Have just come back from a shop: alarm system and locks installed

don't know what it is.
I have got two locks installed: a lock of hood and a lock of auto-transmission and both are controlled by alarm system; moreover the alarm system is equipped with integrated immobilizer, there are also two wireless electronic chips - when a chip is in a car (in a pocket of my bag, for example), immobilizer lets engine run, but when a chip is not present  - immobilizer turns engine off within a few minutes after engine start up, unless a PIN code is entered by means of hidden two position button.

Have just noticed that a width of trunk along rear seats seems narrower, than in my i30.
A petrol's consumption has dropped from 21 l/100km to 8.3 l/100km and keeps on falling.
I have purchased a cargo net today, a universal one, that cost me about 10 USD so two tool boxes are secured now along with screen washing fluid.

Wow the car really looks great. Inside and out - really "classy".

Question:

1. Which engine did you go for ? I guess 1.6 petrol, but which one? 120hp or 136hp GDI one?
2. Why the auto-transmission version? Just wondering, nothing special. I think there are only 10% of "Auto"  i30's/Ceed's over here. Wait..no, it's definitely less then 10%...

1. the engine is 129hp
2. I have got used to cars with automatic transmission, I can hardly put up with a manual one nowadays (I'm spoiled with comfort)

Okay I see. Nothing wrong with "auto", I was just wondering. Also not used of seeing auto transmission in smaller cars, as they are usually not fitted in them over here.

Anyways, wish u a lot of pleasant km's with the car! I'm sure you'll love it. My uncle has the old Ceed and just checked the clock today on his.. 111.765 km and still working great.

Good looking car Misha.
Thank you  :)

I wonder if any of members has experienced this: when the emergency lights are on while engine is running, they can not be switched off until the latter is shut down?

Do you mean the 4 indicators are flashing i.e you have activated the button with the red triangle..
