An update.
No Accents anywhere - all say the same, wait for a new shipment.
I found though, what I think is a very good deal on the i30.
It is for the 1.6 petrol manual, 2012, includes CSA alloy wheels (choice of five designs), carpet mats, dash mat & metallic paint for $17500 drive away.
Colours available: Santorini Blue, tropic Red or Hyper Silver.
The car on display was Santorini Blue and it looked really good. 
That sounds pretty good to me. Your thoughts?
The cheapest elsewhere is just $17500 drive away for the car only as is.

It looks to be a very good price. You would struggle to get alloys on an Accent for that price. I say go for it if you are happy with colour choice. (I still have a prefernce for hyper silver).

So is Tropic red a Metallic red? (that is interesting) Sounds like a good deal to me.

I would encourage Tanya to take it if I were you. Does it come with 6 airbags? (as Tanya is very Safety conscious)

It's an SX so what does the SX come with as standard?
I'll have to check.
The Tropic red colour is a solid colour - I asked him that. Darker than the old Shine red.
It looked nice with the CSA mags on in the Santorini Blue, but then it would look nice in any of those colours.

It's hard work with these dealers. It's like pulling teeth. They don't just come straight out and offer a really good deal.
The first one I spoke to today wants to sell me a new i30 when they arrive but to be honest, I am yet to find a dealership who is prepared to go above and beyond.

Hi Everyone.

Just an update from my end. First, I'd like to express my gratitude to Dave for all the work that he is doing on my behalf down in Perth. Above and beyond the call of duty! Amazing effort he's putting in for a complete stranger! 

As you know, he's managed to find a great deal on an i30 with alloy wheels but they are not interested in a trade in.  If I were living in Perth I would probably buy this car and then sell my car privately. Unfortunately, I live in a very small town and I am probably going to be leaving there soon. I don't fancy the chance of my being able to sell the car here (most people own 4wds), and if I don't, I run the risk of being stuck with 2 cars at the time I may be leaving.

That said, Dave has tried to line up this deal with another dealership... so who knows? We're not too hopeful but maybe by this time next week, I'll be taking Dave out for a celebratory lunch and then I'll be driving home in a shiny new i30!    Then I'll really fit in here

Hello Everyone!

The latest update. Dave has negotiated a deal down in Perth for me   

As follows:

2012 i30 sx 1.6 manual with an upgrade to alloy wheels. Initially included metallic paint, floor mats and dash mat but he managed to get tinting included as well. 

Changeover price will be $13,500 after trading in my Echo. Would probably have got a better price on the trade in if I sold it privately but as explained earlier, I don't think I'd manage to sell it in my little town before I move away from here.

So all in all, $13,500 for a new i30. Thanks for everyones advice and support and I have to again say that I'm blown away by the generous help from Dave. He's been simply wonderful, gone above and beyond and has helped to take the stress out of buying a car.

Looks like we'll be having a celebratory lunch next Thursday after all! Woohoo!
