This photo was taken recently when I came to a parking slot after a day shift

So far new Ceed hasn't let me down and I'm getting close to a day of the first service - it is 13600km on the clock now.
In the forthcoming week I plan to swap the tires to the summer ones.

An average petrol consumption (winter season) - 8 l/100km

so as it seems to me that only an upper layer of paint-and-lacquer coating is damaged (I can not see any metal there). I have signed up for damage assessment in my insurance company, which is to be held on Sunday next week in one of the dealer's shop.

You would need to have a low insurance excess to make it worth it (and it might increase next year's premium)  :Pout:

I don't think I will extend my insurance for one more year due to some reasons; I tend to install a better car alarm with ability to track a car via both GPS and GPRS and to have my windows coated with special reinforcement film, which would be worth of a price of new insurance.

Doesn't anyone in Tassie know how to steal cars yet?

Less common than in Russia I would suspect (by a big margin) with respect Micha... :whistler:

no problem at all  :)
I wonder whether the cars in other countries are being stolen by use of code-grabbers as it happens here (one of the easiest way, I suppose, but the car alarms with dialog-codes are said to be impregnable in relation to what I mentioned before; and this kind of car alarm is installed in my Cee'd now)?

I think not.
Our thieves are (generally) less sophisticated.
They used to steal the cars directly when they were easy to steal.
Now, we have seen an increase in the number of home invasions to steal the keys of specially selected cars.
