Oh now I got you, I thought you were talking spot lights, these are just the standard in bumper driving/fog lamps, yes I got mine for Cyril off Ebay(they were also genuine Hyundai not OEM), they were like 80% cheaper than Hyundai's and for those yes getting Toyota to do the job would be the better option,I did Cyrils fitting and hook up, as the wiring was not in place, thats what you get for buying a poverty pack  :P

Check out the distance to empty   I filled up to the brim (well a couple of litres after the click anyway - as I am not a big fan of brimming unleaded unless I'm doing a big drive straight away due to the expansion factor)

Anyway, I drive off then notice the Cruising range is saying 1108  Down to 1106 by the time I found a good spot to pull over and take a photo.. :happydance:

Now from what I have read on Toyota forums and from experience with the previous Hybrid this is a conservative figure. I have driven for about 30 kms with 0 range left but some on toyota forums regularly drive up to 100 in the Hybrid after the range reaches 0 ... I could never get much more than 55 Litres into my 65 Litre tank in the last car.

 That was only for the 2kms since I left the Garage in the middle of town  :whistler:

That's a good cruising range - getting up there towards i30 territory.  :D

Best I got out of the old one was about 945 before I chickened out .. I was hopeful of getting over 1000 with this one.. looks like that will be a shoe in  :happydance: ... and Unleaded/E10 is usually 5c to 10c cheaper than Diesel down here :winker:

It's a good result.
I reckon your car is just sucking up to you though because you abandoned it for a while and went away.  :)

So the windows are tinted with Octane? Film I think. doesn't look quite as dark as our previous car but a nice blemish free job..

and the driving lights (subtle but I think they finish off the front...

It was about to rain and very bleak so the car looks a completely different colour

That looks excellent Dazz. It's amazing what a difference quality tint makes to the appearance of a car.
And good to see you got your lights fitted too.  :goodjob2:

Looks good, Daz..... :goodjob:

So, no dramas fitting the lights then?  :undecided:

Well sort of .. charged me $115.50 including GST to fit and wire them up + switch is in dash but haven't connected to the power supply yet.

Being from the USA with no instructions they were a bit concerned in case the wiring was "ass about face" they want me to check with the seller before they go that final step

Thanks for the kind words Russ and Dave (Trish said the same thing about the Tint)

The lights make a VAST improvement, and well worth the chicken feed you paid for them :goodjob:

Thanks Steve & Dave

I like them better than the ones with Chrome insert in the HL model (looks odd with the black under the grill) ...

I agree. The black matches the black.
I need to source some after-market stuff for my GD i30 that the dealership reckons can't be done.

That's right but buying it is one thing, getting it fitted is another.
I really want to get the led indicator mirror covers for the GD and also the auto folding mirrors.
I don't see why it can't be done but being technically inept, I'd have to get someone else to fit them.

I had to sneak out of work to grab it as they close at 5 and I still had things to go back and finish - so i didn't get a lot of time to discuss. It was only the service department at the local Toyota Dealer so guess they are not auto electricians  :undecided:

Only thing left to upgrade now is the crappy black plastic sill plates. The previous higher grade Hybrid had stainless sill plates with Hybrid written on them but they are over $100 a pair where as I can get Stainless Camry ones for the 2012  model for under A$30 delivered...(for 4) so I think I'll go down that path  as my M8 can add "Hybrid" with his Laser Machine  :happydance:

Got another dilemma now... :undecided: Decided to try her with the Eco Mode button off today  I drove all over vic in the rental with the Eco Mode on and was happy with the performance and very happy with the economy so I have been driving with it on in ours as well...

Anyway, I read a review that said this "hobbles the performance of the Hybrid quite a bit" so hence I thought I would try it without.. Wow, now it has nearly a 1000 kms on the clock it absolutely flies with the button off. BUT, I also want good economy  :Dunno:

I've ordered the $29.50 stainless sill plates. Probably the last mod I will do ... Very happy with the car now.

Drives  a treat and getting a few admiring looks ( The Hybrid decals seem to catch peoples attention)

Still waiting on the Slimline weather shields (probably another month away .. they are made in batches)

So with $1400 worth of accessories thrown in and another $1100 since added I suppose I should be happy  :happydance:
