Sounds like loss of + 12v or intermittent earth, generally caused by a plug not properly connected, although in a 2007 car, this should certainly have been fixed by now. Do the stations of clock require resetting.

I'm with Phil on checking your power and earth connections. Even in a car with time to have resolved any problems, if not well done, they will become dodgy over time.

My old Renault Fuego was 25 years old when I discovered it had an audio warning for leaving lights on, thanks to some unrelated wiring work disturbing the circuit back into operation.

Welcome to the forum donnyd.

It's easy enough to remove the fascia to get to the radio, to check the connections as mentioned above.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Does this happen when the car is jolted like over bump?

Have you checked fuses and all wire plugs are tight?
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if
