Hi From Sydney

Not an owner as yet but have narrowed it down to an i30 SR. Now comes the hard part, test driving and finding a decent price. You would think that in these times dealers would be happy to help you buy a car. Unfortunately I'm finding the opposite.

Can anyone recommend a dealer in Sydney that they were happy with?

Also, has anyone seen the Facet 17" rims anywhere? I've seen brochure photos, but it seems like nobody has them to look at in reality...

I go to Peter Warren at warwick Farm, have brought my last 3 Hyundai's from there and also nice to deal with. Go in with a budget, if the price is not good then walk out generally they will try to keep you and sign that contract up. Dealers do want to sell cars, unfortunately the i30 is in big demand so there is alot less leway to move with price.

My car was sourced from Barry Smith Holden & Hyundai in Pennant Hills. They were offering an additional 3yr dealer warranty on top of the standard 5yr one, not sure if the offer is still valid however.

Not sure what the dealership is like because I went through a third party though. :/

I've got the accessory book too, so I know what they look like, but seeing them in the flesh is different to seeing them in a soft copy

I'm probably ordering something over the weekend. Just need to test drive it and see if I like it (which is also difficult as nobody has manual SR's to test). I can't believe how much kit this thing comes with. It's quite amazing...

i liked the sr rims and asked the dealer can i purchase for my sx hatch,he said yes and they where $2650,i ended up going to a wheel and tyre place and bought a package 17x7.5 rims,tyres,lock nuts and alignment,$1350.it corners like its on rails.

You will love the SR mate. Just test drive any i30 they have available & you will get a good feel for the SR, lots of stuff has just been upgraded.

Tyans at Kirawee are actually useful!

They don't have a manual SR to test so will take out an auto SR for the ride as apparently they've stiffened the suspension on the newer models and an SX manual 2L for the drive.

He said they have a March build in Steel Grey available for delivery in 7-10 days... Wohoo

So do you know when you are going to get it?? I am hanging out big time for my vivid blue i30cw crdi auto which is due on 26/6 but if you get your car 6-8 days early i may be in luck

I must be desperate i keep watching the port kembla shipping movements just to see when the car carriers are coming in......
