Just been out to re-check my rear doors after I've seen the photos. Both look like they've just left the factory - apart from a bit of grime. :)

I remember finding out, after I'd ordered mine,  that there had been some trouble in the new factory in late 2009.  Hoped they had sorted it out by the time they built mine.

Yep, all doors are perfect (Sept 2009, including both rear) as is the rest of the vehicle and it has never been garaged or has any "grime" in any areas that you can see  :)

Im seeing the rust issue here too. And aswell as that I seem to have had everything that the person in the link you posted above had
Bulbs constantly blowing, (new harness under warranty), not convinced its fully resolved but has eased
A failed sensor in the gearbox (covered under warranty)
failed springs in the clutch (not covered under warranty)
And now the rust. im outside of the 5 year warranty.

:welcum: Barry. Sorry to hear your experience with an i30 has been less than stellar. They are for the most part a well made and reliable car using quality components. The number of people experiencing multiple major faults is low, but that doesn't help you. :Pout:

Nice thought Lester, but that requires yearly inspection regime and full metal perforation I believe. In most case it is only surface rust on the i30..
