If I claimed for this damange here in UK I'd loose my NCB or would it be classed as "an act of god" and not covered?

M8 i have seen hail storms in some parts of Sydney similar to what we have here. every car that is in the open gets damaged like that. i've seen hail the size of golf balls, some people even report the size of cricket balls. and people get hurt too, they damage everything house roof's windows, fruit trees the list goes on.but normally just in different area's not the whole city.
it's bad new's! and for months after any hail storm report gets a mad rush to get cars under cover.

Sorry to hear that , who is the insurance company? that sounds hard to me i would ask for a new replacement or new cost of car. i once had an accident on a late model Harley, i had no insurance, but other party was at falt, i was injured. the bike was a riight off. the other party's insurance payed me what i payed new for the bike and i gave them the bike to sell.
i think you should ask for the same. or keep damaged car get the money to repair it and sell for what you can and use the insurance money to buy a new one.

Pip
Sadly, just arrived home from local (Port Fairy) Folk Music Festival and both my i30 and Getz have hail damage.  Dunno where I stand with insurance but I'm very pissed off!  My car (i30) was damn near perfect body wise... not a scratch!!  For 16 months I've never parked next to another another car and the body was literally perfect WRT scratches/dings.

Buggar!!!

I would send a polite email to Hyundai customer services with picture on the dents and ask them what they think, and say are they willing to help you replace the car.

I can't see it being a write-off, not when dent-pulling technology is at its best these days. Wait until the assessors have had their mits on it - a decent repair specialist will pull all your panels straight and it'll look like new I reckon. I'm sure your insurers would rather pay for a panel-beater than for a 13 month old write-off.
