Don't know why, maybe because they are assembled here and the Ozzie Government helped Toyota with grants and stuff to make it more viable, but what I paid was at least A$5,000 less than a similarly spec'd i40 sedan (if not more)

I think the i40 is still a better looking car (particularly in the higher spec models)
