I wonder of the SR LED DRL's will fit the oz GD. When it gets to Oz, at least there will be a part number for it, cost a few bucks though.

They are something I would still like to get for the Hybrid if I could make them look integrated

Yes, $20 well spent  :happydance: (the previous Hybrid had one but may have been a dealer fit on the Demo)

Hello! I've missed A LOT.

First, let me say congratulations on the car! Wish u all the best with it.

Second. I like the color of the car. Looks so smart. Especially on those last pictures. Last few cars of yours were "blue-ish", weren't they? A little change feels nice probably?

Third. The car looks at least 50% better with tinted windows and front fog lights.

Fourth. The design of the car is interesting, though I must admit, that I also really liked the looks of your previous hybrid. Can't decide which one I like more. The new one looks quite like the Honda Accord, which I also like.

PS: You sure like to change them often. I know how it is  :whistler:

Thanks accim .. always pleased to see you on... :happydance:

Yes, the different colour is a nice change ..  :goodjob: (although considering it was a demo we got lucky with the previous nice blue colour)

Not sure if I like the way they have done the tail lights in the new model.  Think it was beerman that said "looks like they didn't know what to change or something" :snigger: And I kind of miss the feel of the leather upholstery more than I thought I would  :Pout:

Some good improvements though. One of the best (apart from quicker and more economical) is the cruise control.

I have found it uses the power regeneration function of the brakes to hold the car at speed going down hills (the last model was a shocker for running away on the cruise unless I put it in "b" mode which slowed it down too much)

Done like 4500 Kilometres in the new Hybrid now (+ 2145km in the rental one last month  :sweating:) Must say I'm glad I upgraded...

Really loving it now with all the personal touches..  :goodjob:

Driving the 7 Kms to work is such a pleasure (I sort of wish I was still doing the 100 kms per day return trip to our Burnie office)  :whistler:

I underestimated how fast a car was coming today  and had to boot it (made quite a screech)  :-[ :whistler:

Thanks guys... :happydance: It is hard to put a value on the feelings you get from a new car you are happy with  :goodjob:

I know people who keep their cars for 20 years are laughing all the way to the Banks (but they miss out on a lot of other stuff...) Many of my previous cars have left me with good and varied memories .. in particular:-

My Fiat 3P,  Renault Virage,  ML Barina,  SSS Pulsar,  SSS Bluebird, '98 Pulsar Plus, 2006 Getz and of course the 2008 i30 CRDi .. Memories and entertainment I would have missed out on if I still had my old Torana or Mazda 808  :fum:

I will never ever forget my 1985 Hyundai Stella Auto - the most thirsty, unreliable, uncomfortable pile of crap I ever bought. I think it was based on an obsolete Ford Cortina chassis with a Mitsubishi tractor engine. When I got rid of it I promised myself to never buy another Hyundai.

It would appear that I am not much good at keeping promises to myself..............I have now had two. :goodjob:

Is she having a good run with it?

How about expanding on this for us Alan.

What you have described is a radical departure form the detailed, logical and intensive character that you are today. If it was that bad, it seems odd that you would have bought it at all, was there some other reason

Brian's excellent report on his i40 has motivated me to give my Hybrid a good wash, take some photos and do an updated report later today (hopefully) now it is fully optioned...

Ironically, I have had several (non Toyota) people say what a good looking car it is .. which is a big turn around as the bland looks were one of the biggest turn offs for me when shopping for a new car (certainly looks better now)  :happydance:
