Just after 11 am here and it's bright but chilly. In fact, compared to our usual early Jan weather, it's rather boiling
We have had a snowfall today It is 0*C now and there is a thick layer of snow blanketing the ground.
How thick?Anything more than a sprinkle would bring the transport system to a halt here in the UK.Are your roads still open?
The official claims the depth of precipitations has been up to 5cm todayThe roads are open.
10c and the rain is falling horizontally because the wind is so strong.
sue called me just before and said she heard on the radio while on her way to work,Melbourne is expected to get 90kmh winds and damaging rain and hail. Melbourne,Bahamas one day,Antarctica the next.

I can't imagine living in a place where you just can't grab the key, get in the car and drive. How long does it take b4 you can drive away.
It was dull today in Liverpool... 9deg & very damp.... a bit brighter in Shropshire when I got home but still a lofty 8 deg...
It's so warm here right now I'm not going to switch the electric blanket on - that'll save me a few bob.Come to think of it, I don't have an electric blanket... that's saved me even more
Ya'd soon get warm if you could turn that weather girl on
i heard it got to 30c in hobart earlier in the week.

As an aside, Hobart is the second driest capital city in Australia....
