Warm 28C today on the coast, we have had no rain for two months, the grass is yellow.   But maybe some rain coming down on the weekend from Queensland - ex tropical cyclone stuff.  Towns up north Qld have had 300 mm of the wet stuff in 24 hours.

That is some rain, lot of flooding.

We've had 30mm since 8am. And our water tank is half full.
Plenty more on the way (we'll save you some Rick.  :whistler: )

The snow started at 19:00

I've just measured it at 6.5 inches :scared:

Bitchy, Phil. Bitchy ;)

Now 23:25 and just been out with my pointy stick. It's deep (over 8" now) and the missus just got back from our farm and struggled in the 4x4 *gulp*

You'd have to be happy with that.  :D

Is that about average for where you live?

It was a one day wonder. Have been melting ever since! We were supposed to have rain and 20-25 all week. Instead it's been dry as a desert and minimum of 30  :sweating: (humidity has been sitting at around 70% at it's lowest though so it feels way hotter than it is!)

I would expire in 51 degree heat.

But when they quote the temperatures in the 40's, that's actually in the shade, not in direct sun light.
So it's in the 50's quite often anyway in the sun.
Which is why I stay inside or in an air-conditioned car because I'd expire too.  :)

Last night around midnight the snow was falling rather fast and the depth was around 8.5 inches.

Got up this morning and at 8 am the snow had nearly gone.

Nearly had a tsunami with all the melting snow......
Now why didn't I get out and make a dozen or so snowmen  snowpeople (being pc) as advised by the powers to be to prevent flooding as the snow melts.....

Wind and rain aplenty with a storm surge forecast. Tornados, stupid amounts of rain and big wind a bit further north.

I didn't realise that some years ago,so when I was working on the farm out the back paddocks on my own,I couldn't work out why I was burning my hands through riggers gloves, pulling down and winding up plain wire fencing which we where going to replace, about three o'clock,I get a call from the boss on the two way asking where and what I was doing, when I told him all he siad is WTF are you doig out there in this heat doing that.

It was a day it was 47.6 in the shade,he pulled the thermometer out of the weather station in the shade, sat it in the sun for a few minutes,it was well over 55c,subsiquently I didn't go back out that afternoon.
