a bicycle thread - good.
I do 35kms on average every time I go out for riding.

I bought a new saddle yesterday in Lappeenranta, it looks more comfortable to me than my current one

Just been moding my bike.

Bought water bottle and carrier today in tesco's.

I'll be able to carry fluids and drink on the move.

meehalych have you got a pic of your new saddle? & why does a ride always keen 36k for you? also how long does that take you?

Lester i'm thinking probably cause our climate is hot in summer we just carry fluids, i have a back pack thats full of water & has a hose  that works like a straw. the grog would dehydrate you.

At the price you pay for camelback, you wouldn't WANT to taste anything.
Some years back I took a punt and bought a cheap copy - in Australia Post believe it or not.
It's great. No taint. Sits well on my shoulders. No leaks (yet).

I bought a little speedo/ distance/ timer doovie yesterday. Cost me $20 in Big W and works a treat. So I'll be able to monitor distance travelled, speed, average speed, maximum speed and so on.

you appear to dwell in a windless area, cause with wind blowing to ones face, it takes a great effort to maintane a constant speed.

 @ Dave, well takes me longer but don't have a speedo & i know it will take a lot longer on bush tracks as even my i30 only manages 15 kph on a bush track
but cycling is a lot faster than runing or jogging. Dave in Sydney CBD you can't average that speed in a motor car. don't matter what car. cheers

Meehalych  as i don't have a photo bucket account or any other photo storage online, i can't post a pic of my bike , but its a CELL bike i love it i've owned many bikes over the years including a road race & some mountain bikes . this one is by far the best i've owned , but there are a lot better bicycles out there depends how far you are into it. you can see the bike at CELL web they where great to deal with & was a pleasure. they have good prices stock top components.

the new Prime Minister , Hon Tony Abbott , keeps trim & fit on a Bicycle , to think quick act quick you need to keep fit, just a fact. but a lot of Queensland politician's, model themselves on Americans .
cheers

Got tired of the creaking in my bike when pedaling and replaced the crank bearings today.
Nice and quiet now.
$8 for the parts.

nice for you then as I meet so many people riding their creaking bicycles and paying no attention to it, although it looks disgusting from a side (IMHO)

They are only in Sydney as far as i know Dazz but was told they buy up bulk components, with push bikes the name of the bike these days means nothing, unless it is a custom made frame, the rest no matter how well the name on frame is they are all made in china or somewhere like that, just to the manufactures design. but they all use components out sourced like crank, brakes gears wheels tyres gear & so on. this bike has all top components & the big crank bearing ( something i stuff up on other bikes, but first bike i've had with crank bearing this big being deaf don't help ) the bike also has Marvic wheels continental tyres, Marvic have always made world class wheels for pushes & motor bikes.

Dazz when you don't ride much they are ok but when you ride a good bike you can notice the difference a lot, they last longer too.
I actually test ride the bike before buying, do k mart give you a test ride?
